[edit] Introduction

Micro pigs are the result of selective breeding, in which a variety of pig species were bred to produce offspring with specific desirable characteristics. In the case of micro pigs, Miniature Pot Bellied pigs were bred with Tamworths, Kune Kunes and Gloucester Old Spots over a period of time to reproduce pigs that were significantly smaller than their original ascendants.
