Heteroscodra maculata Housing Requirements
Tarantula Housing: 10 gal tank with vermaculite and a piece of cork bark. The vermaculite sticks to his profuse webbing and is incorporated with the cork bark into a secure enclosure. Also ensure that a shallow water dish is available and fresh water is available daily. Do not add a sponge to the water dish as it collects bacteria and can cause health issues in your Tarantula

The temperament of this spider can change from docile to defensive very suddenly after a molt.also as a spiderling they are very fast and will jump from hand if annoyed to much.

Special Requirements: This tarantula's movements can be extremely fast. Exercise caution when cleaning the enclosure and always keep an empty container on hand when feeding and cleaning to use if the tarantula escapes. best to clean this spiders house in the bath tub, make sure the plugs in tho!
