[edit] Feeding

Butterworms, crickets, mealworms and waxworms all work well in rotation to provide your Cuban Night Anole with a balanced diet. Some Cuban Night Anole keepers have claimed to hand feed their lizards. You can attempt this but beware they they have a very strong bite in relation to their size.

Since Cuban Night Anoles drink water from the plants in their habitat it is important to mist the plants at least twice daily.

[edit] Habitat

[edit] Humidity

Since Cuban Night Anoles come from humid areas of the planet it is important to keep their habitat at a humidity level of at least 80%.

[edit] Lighting

A full-spectrum fluorescent light should be used to keep the lizard healthy and a heat-bulb can be used to provide the necessary temperature level.

[edit] Size

An enclosure that is at least 4 feet high is recommended for these lizards as they love to climb trees in the wild.

[edit] Substrate

Cuban Night Anoles are known to accidentally eat portions of the substrate while eating their prey so be sure to use something that they cannot ingest. Intestinal impaction can occur if they ingest any stones or pebbles.

[edit] Temperature

Optimal daytime temperature for Cuban Night Anoles is in the 85 degree F range. The temperature can drop a few degrees during the night but do not let it dip below 75 degrees F.
